Shoogling Stuckness

"Shoogling" (or shoogle) is a Scots verb meaning to shake, wobble, sway, or jiggle something gently. It implies a, often loose or unsteady, swaying movement, such as a wobbly table, a rocking chair, or shaking a container, often described as giving something "a wee shoogle".

'Shoogling'

A Scots definition

By the end of 2026 I aim to have a finished booklet available to read and download, including: art making exercises, links to common ground and my best understanding of how some conscious internal shoogling can allow stuckness to free itself up, without us trying hard to make it happen.

If I gave you the key to my house and said that it needs some gentle shoogling . . . or the lock won't open . . . that is the attitude I need here, built on a foundation of paradoxical understanding that gently allowing change to occur, rather than trying to force it, brings something worthwhile. So . . . how do we gently dissolve the need to 'fix' or change, ourselves, others or situations we face and allow ourselves to grow & change instead?

That is what this booklet is about, though, it can only ever be just a way that works well for me. If it resonates with others . . . great, enjoy.

For now ( March 2026 ) there are just a few pages below ~ including only some of the contents of this website.
