About Listening Skills Practice . . .

I am not a life coach, counsellor or therapist and I do not imagine it is my job to offer advice or guidance about anything to anyone. My practice is to notice whatever I can sense with as much clarity, depth, neutrality and groundedness as I can muster, and check if I can let a little playfulness be there too while I clear a space from either: whatever has me in its grip or what I can't easily let go of.

Just staying there and not doing much more than breathing into that opening and the bodily felt sense of relief that accompanies this activity ( should I actually manage to do it effectively ) is a lot. From there . . . I can sense into any actions I need to take in order to find the energy I will need to move forward ~ as my whole self, through situations, creative projects, health issues or 'stuckness'.    I wonder whether doing only this much is actually enough?

The intention here ~ is to let our attention return to the quality of sensation in the centre of the body and the location, size, shape, colour, texture & aliveness of our bodily felt sense and all the connections to any given situation we face.   From here, our sense of meaning flows just beneath the surface of everyday awareness at the threshold of language, beginning with something vague, just beyond the world of words. Tapping into this flow of meaning can help us to sense freshly . . . how we may approach ourselves, others and situations in both our inner and outer life . . . as a whole.

There are connections with Qi Kung, EFT, Feldenkrais & TRE that will find their way into this work and are worth expanding on too.

I found both group and 1 to 1 sessions deeply nourishing, it felt possible and safe to explore what was showing up.
